Reconsider Exercise 6-71. The data were the number of earthquakes per year of magnitude 7.0 and greater since 1900. (a) Use computer software to summarize these data into a frequency distribution. Test the hypothesis that the number of earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or greater each year follows a Poisson distribution at . (b) Calculate the P-value for the test.
