Chapter 25, Problem 25-13

(choose chapter or problem)

A solution containing Cd'+ was analyzed voltammetrically using the standardaddition method. Twenty-five milliliters of the deaerated solution, which was 1 Min HN03, produced a net limiting current of 1.78 flA at a rotating mercury filmworking electrode at a potential of -0.85 V (versus SCE). Following addition of5.00 mL of a 2.25 x 10-3 M standard Cd" solution, the resulting solution produceda current of 4.48 flA. Calculate the concentration of Cd'" in the samplc.
