What theory did John Dalton formulate?
Solution 6E: Accuracy is defined as how the individual measurement value is close to the correct value. Precision defines how the individual measurement is close to each other. Accuracy can be measured as how close the arrows are to bull's eye at the center of target When arrows are fired. On the other hand, precision is measured that how many times a person is able to get the same result. (a) In figure, (A) the instructor firing a newly acquired target rifle; The instructor had less accuracy but good precision result. He had tried to attain the same result in different trials, but he did not fired at the centre of target. In figure (B) the instructor firing his personal target rifle; Here, the instructor has good accuracy and precision. This is because, he has reached the target as well as the the same results in multiple attempts. In figure (C) a student who has fired his target rifle only a few times. Here, the student has no good accuracy and precision. This is because, he did not reach the target correctly after his multiple attempts. Therefore he achieved different results in multiple attempts. (b) For the A and C results in the future to look like those in B, The instructor (A) had less accuracy but good precision result. So he has to adjust his sight in his new target rifle which might suit him. Similarly, he has to attempt several times to attempt the accurate values. Here, the student (C) has no good accuracy and precision in his results. So he has improved himself to attain good precision as well as accuracy. He has to adjust his sight which suit him to get the target easily as well as, he need to repeat the task in multiple times to get the same values.
