Draw the line for the equation y = x on a coordinate grid with the x-axis labeled from 9

Chapter 1, Problem 8

(choose chapter or problem)

Draw the line for the equation y = x on a coordinate grid with the x-axis labeled from 9 to 9 and the y-axis labeled from 6 to 6. Plot and label the points described. a. Point A with an x-coordinate of 4 and a y-coordinate 5 more than 4. b. Point B with an x-coordinate of 2 and a y-coordinate 3 less than 2. c. Point C with an x-coordinate of 1 and a y-coordinate 4 units above the line. d. Now plot several points with coordinates that are opposites (inverses) of each other, for example, (5, 5) or (5, 5). Describe the pattern of these new points. Write an equation to describe the pattern.
