Chapter 10, Problem 6(choose chapter or problem)
In Example 5 the constraint is said to be nonbinding because it can be removed from the problem without affecting the solution. Likewise, the constraint is said to be binding because removing it will change the solution. (a) Which of the remaining constraints are nonbinding and which are binding? (b) For what values of the right-hand side of the nonbinding constraint will this constraint become binding? For what values will the resulting feasible set be empty? (c) For what values of the right-hand side of the binding constraints will this constraint become nonbinding? For what values will the resulting feasible set be empty?
