Customer Surveys Juan Morales is a restauranteur who owns three authentic Mexican restaurants in the towns of Riverside, Springfield, and Centerville. To receive customer feedback, Juan provides postage-paid survey cards at each establishments which can be completed by patrons and mailed directly to him. By keeping records on the returned surveys, Juan has learned that 40% are from patrons of the Riverside restaurant, 25% are from patrons of the Springfield restaurant, and 35% are from patrons of the Centerville restaurant. Juan has also learned that the percent of surveys returned with negative feedback are 8%, 12%, and 9% for the three restaurants, respectively. (a) If Juan receives a survey in the mail, what is the probability that it will give negative feedback? (b) If Juan receives a survey with negative feedback, what is the probability it is from a patron of the Riverside restaurant? (c) If Juan receives a survey with negative feedback, what is the probability it is from a patron of the Springfield restaurant?
