Lectures are EXTREMELY boring but somewhat helpful. Exams are ridiculously and unnecessarily hard. DeLong makes the quizzes and exams harder than they need to be for a 2000 level course. She also words questions and answers very strange, and they become difficult to understand. I would not recommend this course with this teacher. ...Continue reading

For her class online, listening to hour long lectures can be pretty unbearable hearing her swallowing spit and smacking her lips into the mic every 2 minutes. She makes everything much more complicated than it is. I managed to get a B from working extremely hard. TOO MUCH WORK FOR AN ELECTIVE. I recommend taking someone else if you are looking for an easy elective like I was. Lectures are also really long and boring. I jumped at the opportunity to take an online class, but you're probably better off taking someone else, even if that means having to attend class. ...Continue reading

I love DocJill. She makes geography so fun, and I used to hate stuff like that. The class is more on the atmosphere than the location of things, and you really do learn to understand how our planet functions. Her Wisconsin accent is adorable, and she's super helpful. ...Continue reading

He is passionate about what he teaches, but he's very cocky and I would not recommend this class to anyone who is not majoring in a science related field. Much tougher than you would think. ...Continue reading

She's easy to talk to and since she is in school herself she has a better understanding of what it's like to be a student which is helpful. Information is very clear and she provides videos in her lectures that make following along fun. Loved the class! ...Continue reading

  • Class rating 1/5
He isn't very specific about what he wants in his papers or his essay tests, but he grades as if he gives very stringent criteria. He takes it personal if you miss class, though he doesn't give participation. There are only 3 possible grades in this class: midterm, final, and a research paper, for a total of 100 possible points. ...Continue reading
