It was okay when I was there but it's a really big campus and if you're not one to go out every night and be social, this probably isn't your college. It takes forever to get from one class to the next. There is a variety of every kind of person here because it is a large university, so diversity is always in abundance. The campus is beautiful and is built in Italian Renaissance architecture. As far as course work goes, I would suggest a smaller university. Please do not waste your time. ...Continue reading

Just off campus can be pretty sketchy, especially at night. Even out of state students call Louisiana home. Social scene is great and education is top. Has its flaws, but when you got a tiger for a mascot and 102,000 screaming fans Saturday night in Death Valley, life is good. Early networking is important to get a feel for who you want to be friends with the rest of your time here. Lots of resources, absolutely stunning campus (esp. in the perfect weather), and great sports atmosphere. Food and social life is great... you'd have to go pretty far to find its equal. ...Continue reading

Moscatello is a very funny guy and I really enjoyed his lectures, but I would not say he is effective as a teacher. The guy is very smart and just speeds through examples on the board. If you do not keep up, he will make smart comments and fail at explaining. His tests are structured on all the examples he does in class. ...Continue reading

Dont be fooled by his teachers pets. He cracked dumb jokes to the few students that would listen while ignoring those that wanted a clear lecture. He complained to his students about how busy he was and that he was sorry he couldn't be more attentive while at the same time he assigned projects far beyond his instruction. Teach yourself? Great idea! ...Continue reading

This was my favorite sociology class/professor that I've taken. I took her for criminology and did not have to buy the book, she has great power points, listen to her lectures and take good notes. She's really laid back and sweet. She makes class pretty interesting. She tells you the main things to look at when studying. DEFINITELY will be taking her again She has passion for Criminology, and she's really down to earth. She's young, so she relates to her students. There are three test, she gives study guides, and everything is clear cut. If you study and go to class you will pass. Plus the lectures are interesting. ...Continue reading
