This is my favorite professor by far. I did terribly on the first of 4 and did really well on the others. Best part of the class is a non-cumulative final! She is extremely enthusiastic when she lectures, and you can tell that she loves psychology. As long as you do the reading, take notes, and study you will have no problem getting an A on the tests. She gives homework that are all easy 100s factored into your overall grade. Would definitely take her again! ...Continue reading

Dr. Cyterski is a great teacher, but her tests may take you by surprise. She is willing to answer lots of questions and take feedback from any students who may have something to add on the subject discussed. Take notes+ study and you will do well. I think most people who dislike her were called out for using their phones in class! ...Continue reading

I really like Dr. Cyterski, she was very fun and her lectures are interesting. You need to read in order to do really well, unless you have previous in depth knowledge of the subject. Nice and easy to work with. ...Continue reading

Be ready to read the book and go to class! Read the textbooks and take good notes. She knows what she is talking about but seems unprepared for the lecture and scatterbrained. Do not count on her answering a question because half of the time she dances around the answer without answering it. She is a good teacher but goes into interesting stories, but her test are hard if you dont read. ...Continue reading

The tests are not too bad but I studied a lot and still got low As/ high Bs. Tests are heavy on things she says in class and videos she shows. Also know the main points from the textbook. Don't think you can get an A on the test by reading your notes once. She knows the material well, but seems to be somewhat unavailable to students. ...Continue reading

If you want to do well in this class you are going to have to read the book and look at the power points. Her tests are a little confusing. I enjoyed her lectures but did not like her test. Other than that all she does is read straight off powerpoints (which she posts online). Calhoun knows his stuff. Old exams are essential, don't bother taking the class without them. He gives pop quizzes and even some make-up pop quizzes around long breaks. You even get a chance to exempt the final. You don't need to buy the textbook. The class is really interesting, too. TAKE IT! He's awesome! Extra Credit quizzes are awesome, come to class. Calhoun is extremely knowledgeable in abnormal psychology. READ THE TEXTBOOK RIGHT BEFORE THE TEST! If you follow these two guidelines, you'll get an A. If you only study from his notes and never go to class, you'll get an F. The class was all off powerpoint, so it was easy to follow. Pop quizzes are extra credit and can help you exempt the final. I really enjoyed Dr. Blount's class this semester. He gives a cumulative final, beware. He is a very nice, soft spoken guy but is just not an effective teacher. I LOVE psychology but this man is incapable of holding a psychology fan's interest. Don't take this man.. .he will bore you to death. ...Continue reading

He is a very nice person and is interested in what he is teaching. He goes very fast and it's stressful to get everything down. Also, tests were hard. I'd go into it thinking I knew everything and would come out of the test feeling like I did great, but only ever made one A. I learned a ton, but it's not worth the stress. ...Continue reading

Doesn't allow any laptops/electronics, so all notes are handwritten. He has optional test reviews. Lectures are long. There are four tests and optional final. Class overall wasn't bad. Take good notes and study them. Didn't really need the textbook. I could've gotten an A but I didn't put as much effort into the class. It was a struggle to pay attention in class. On the tests he will not change test questions even if the whole class says one thing and he says another. Not very fair and won't listen to you. Tests cover a lot of material so you must go to class to get the notes and study HARD.Its not an easy A ...Continue reading

His tests aren't bad if you study your notes. His lectures are very organized and easy to follow. You have to come to class and take good notes to do well on the tests. If you get the notes, the tests aren't bad. He is quiet and lecture can get boring. Only complaint is that your overall grade rests on your 4 test grades. ...Continue reading
