This place is the one for you if you don't want to make any friends, have terrible professors, and every club you try and join disolved. Internet is god-awful. Dorm internet never works, WiFi is all too spotty. Events are an afterthought. Parking is like trying to park at a football game, but EVERY DAY. Food was decent at first, but quickly degraded to leftover quality. Teachers in general education, however, are rather rude and pompus. I don't know where MTSU finds some of these people. I always expected Ph. D's to be more professional, but what a bunch of babies they proved to be. ...Continue reading

I am a graduate student at MTSU. I am in the graduate program for Public History and my experience here has been great. Commuter parking is bad but other than that, no complaints. It is not your normal Division-1 university. There are a lot of non-traditional students, and commuters. Campus is dead on weekends, unless if you're in Greek life. Doesn't get much attention due to being near Vanderbilt & having UT & Memphis in the same state. However, campus is beautiful & Aero is great! ...Continue reading

As long as you stay focused, there is no reason for you to not make an A. 4 papers through the semester, as long as you turn them in on time you can revise them as many times until you get a preferred grade. Don't expect anything in this class without working for it, but then, isn't that how real life works? I think that's what separates the people who like McInturff's classes from those who don't. Dr. Mackin was hands down my favorite professor this semester. Assignments were fairly easy (4 papers and one group project), you can make an A easily if you put in the effort. Class was always cancelled. He is a very laid-back professor that gives good feedback on papers. Take him!! You won't regret it. Three papers and a group project. He can be a bit rude from time to time, and can sometimes make an a** of himself. In 1010 he was sarcastic, but caring and I made it out of there with an easy A. in 1020, he was spiteful, meant, and condescending. I am not doing nearly as well. You will write four 1500 word essays in both classes, have 10 easy quizzes from readings, and a ton of participation points. only take 1010. Definitely avoid this teacher. Halfway through the semester, I think about half the class had dropped it. You can learn everything she teaches (better) from MyMathLab. She takes attendance and it counts towards your grade. The accent is incredibly strong and she has a tendency to randomly raise her voice when she wants to get a point across.
