I went to undergrad at a large southern school and hated it. I just finished my first semester after coming here without having any close friends here. I met some of my best friends and have already made many great memories. Get involved to meet people! The food is ok, but there's tons of options, you just need to find your favorite. Beautiful campus but most dorms are outdated. Wouldn't be anywhere else! ...Continue reading

Coming to Penn State is probably the best choice Ive made in my entire life. This school is extremely distinguished for certain academic fields, and there is always a place to fit in, (clubs, socials, games). I do suggest finding housing early. The closer to campus, the better! This is a place where I feel at home, not as if I'm away for school. Penn State offers something for quite literally whatever interest you may have, and we're probably really good at it too. ...Continue reading

I declined University of Pennsylvania to attend Penn State... best decision of my entire life. Downtown Happy Valley is charming and there is a Target close to campus which has made life infinitely easier to get what you need if you forget them from home. We have a beautiful campus, great sports, and everyone is so so happy! Also love the Penn State pride. :) ...Continue reading

Awesome school, classes are difficult but it will prepare you for the future for sure. You'll have to leave the area for most internships, but they're easily gotten because of the alumni network and academic rep. The library is rated one of the best in the country. There's nearly 1000 clubs, so finding friends is easy if you make an effort. ...Continue reading

Alright this school get a lot of hype when it comes to pride and I am normally really big on sports but for some reason, since I came here I don't have that same fire I did before I left high school. The large number of campus police patrolling the area 24/7 will not hesitate to fine you. Fresh fruits are vegetables are very limited outside of the standard salad + apples and bananas. Most campus eating establishments are like fast food. SKATEBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME :-( From my experience, it happens quite a bit. Other than that and the okay internet, I think this place has a lot of options and some solid teachers. ...Continue reading

I'm currently a freshman at University Park and I love it. Nearly every student you meet will be sad to go home for the summer or to graduate. However that is probably because the student body is a very homogeneous group of like-minded work-hard-party-harder students, so you better fit in if you're going to be happy here.
