(a)Lewis Structure of Al3+

The electronic configuration of Al is, 13Al [Ne] 3s2 3p1

The Lewis structure of Al is

But in Al3+ the electronic configuration resemble electronic configuration of Ne i.e 1s2 2s2 2p6.

Hence the Lewis dot structure of Al3+ resemble with the Lewis structure of Ne.
