Do adiabatic processes apply only to gases? Defend your answer.
In thermodynamics,an adiabatic process is one that occurs without transfer heat or a matter between a thermodynamic system and its surroundings. It works on condition that “no heat enters or leaves the system”.thermally insulate the system. Adiabatic process can even occur in liquid ocean and inside the earth.in liquid ocean adiabatic processes happens by deep currents circulating per 1000 years.and in inside earth(convection currents in molten material under crust).hence adiabatic processes not only apply for gases. Adiabatic processes can even occur in the liquid ocean (deep currents circulating per 1000 years) and inside Earth (convection currents in molten material under crust)
