After performing the reaction from 17.38, the reaction flask is heated to 40C and two of the products become the major products. When the flask is then cooled to 0C, no change occurs in the product distribution. Explain why an increase in temperature causes a change in the product distribution and explain why a subsequent reduction in temperature has no effect.
