Tattoos A study by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center examined 626 people to see if an increased risk of contracting hepatitis C was associated with having a tattoo. If the subject had a tattoo, researchers asked whether it had been done in a commercial tattoo parlor or elsewhere. Write a brief description of the association between tattooing and hepatitis C, including an appropriate graphical display.

An appropriate display graph is segmented bar chart. The percentages can be obtained by dividing corresponding place in a table by a sum of corresponding row. The segmented bar chart is given below. The percentages are given in the table below. It can be seen that the having a tattoo and hepatitis  are not independent because the percentages are not the same.
