Frost circle is a short-hand method of representing the molecular orbitals of a compound. We begin by drawing a circle and then inscribing a polygon (corresponding to the shape of the molecule being represented) inside the circle. We orient the polygon so that one of the connecting points is at the bottom of the circle. Each point where the polygon touches the circle represents an energy level.
