Here, we are going to write the chemical formula for the following compounds.

Chemical formula is the representation of the number of atoms present in the molecule.

  1. one calcium atom for every two iodine atoms

Ca + 2 I --------> CaI2

Thus, one calcium atom and 2 iodine atoms form calcium iodide compound. The chemical formula of the molecular compound is CaI2.

(b)       two nitrogen atoms for every four oxygen atoms

2N + 4 O --------> N2O4

Thus, two nitrogen atoms and 4 oxygen atoms form dinitrogen tetraoxide (N2O) compound. The chemical formula of the molecular compound  is N2O4.

(c)        one silicon atom for every two oxygen atoms

Si + 2 O --------> SiO2

Thus, one silicon atoms and 2 oxygen atoms form silicon dioxide (SiO2) compound. The chemical formula of the molecular compound  is SiO2

(d)         one zinc atom for every two chlorine atoms

Zn+ 2Cl --------> ZnCl2

Thus, one zinc atom and 2 chlorine atoms form zinc dichloride (ZnCl2) compound. The chemical formula of the molecular compound  is ZnCl2.
