Chapter 15 Problem 15E

Question

Problem 15E

Adding the same amount of heat to two different objects does not necessarily produce the same increase in temperature. Why not?

Solution

If we consider two different objects , the materials obviously will have different densities because density is not constant for all materials it is different for different materials and different materials have different heat capacities. A higher heat capacity means more heat energy
