Chapter 21 Problem 2E
Question
Problem 2E
As the pitch of sound increases, what happens to the frequency?
Solution
Solution 2E
Step 1:
When a sound wave enters into the ear with a particular frequency, it will vibrate the eardrum with the same frequency with which it is travelling. So, the sound waves as pressure waves will create vibrations in the eardrum. So, this perception of a particular frequency by our ears is actually called as “pitch”.
