Suppose the three particles in Figure 22–31 have the same mass and speed. Rank the particles in order of increasing magnitude of their charge. Indicate ties where appropriate.

Here we have to rank the particles in an increasing order of charge.

Step 1 of 2:-

The magnetic field is coming out of the page.

The velocity of the charges is towards right.

From the right hand screw rule, the magnetic force should be downwards if charge q is positive. But for A and B the force is upwards, so, the charges must be negative.
