IP Figure 28–39 shows a single-slit diffraction pattern formed by light passing through a slit of width W = 11.2 μm and illuminating a screen 0.855 m behind the slit, (a) What is the wavelength of the light? (b) If the width of the slit is decreased, will the distance indicated in Figure 28–39 be greater than or less than 15.2 cm? Explain.
