While those at different schools manage to have fun and get good grades, I'm doing neither. Professors grade too harsh. Example: Points taken off for stapling wrong side of a page, writing the honor code on the wrong page of HW. It's like the professors want you to fail. Busting my butt while they could care less. Not worth the stress or $50K. If you are trying to use the wifi on your phone, you'll have better luck traveling to Congo and trying to use it there. Professors are mediocre to below average. Many expect you to understand the material on day one. Over priced. ...Continue reading

I am a freshman, so this is only a first year perspective, but what I have gone through is not what I was hoping for. There aren't always enough places to park. When you want to have a social life, it can be difficult to get involved. Clubs aren't made well known. The professors are kind and helpful. ...Continue reading

Good school but they always find ways to get more money out of you (e.g. living on campus 6 semester min, food plan, expensive housing, etc,) Wouldn't change that. However the student body is very clique orientated and very greek life. It feels like over 1/2 the nursing students are part of Greek Life. Lots of class opportunities however not a lot of events going on. Its located in a small town, with small actives. It was rare when groups mingled. Maybe it's changed since I left, but that was my experience. The best thing about Valpo was the Sunday morning waffles in Berg. I've heard they've moved it, but that was my favorite memory. Valpo isn't the most welcoming of minorities, but you make it work. ...Continue reading

Love the community surrounding campus, actual campus itself is very nice and most of the buildings you need are right in the center of campus (not taking nursing, law, german, or psychology into consideration). The main complaint is the food. Yes there are choices, but most of the choices are the same everyday, or just aren't that great. ...Continue reading

I love this university They care about your success and offer many opportunities for students! There are many organizations to join so you never feel left out. Greek like is amazing, you get to know all of your brothers and sisters! AMAZING SCHOOL. Must know- this school is serious about academics! You really have to get involved here to have a good experience here though - this includes Greek life, clubs and organizations, and attending sporting events. Students here tend to be skeptical of their surroundings, but the school is heading in a great direction and administration is good. ...Continue reading

Valpo is a wonderful school! Education is Quality, but at a price. The price is.. . the price.
