Referring to Table 19-1, we need to explain what is the sign of charge when rabbit fur is rubbed against glass.
From Table 19-1, the rabbit fur has six plus signs whereas glass as five plus signs. Therefore, rabbit fur has more tendency to acquire negative charge after rubbing.
Hence, after rubbing rabbit fur with glass, rabbit fur will possess positive charge whereas glass will possess negative charge.
