Chapter 15 Problem 1E

Question

In a meeting room, there are chairs, a table, and people. Which of these things has a temperature (a) lower than, (b) greater than, or (c) equal to the temperature of the air?

Solution

Answer: Step 1: Everything in the room is attempting to reach the same temperature. Assuming the room is not above 98.6 degrees everything you touch like chair , the table will seem cold because that object is taking the heat from your body and raising its temperature in order to become equal.
