Problem 105 Problem 105P

Refrigerant-134a enters the condenser of a refrigerator at 900 kPa and 60°C, and leaves as a saturated liquid at the same pressure. Determine the heat transfer from the refrigerant per unit mass.

Step-by-Step Solution:
Step 1 of 3

HY 121 March 17, 2016 The Constitutional Period and the government under constitution  Virginia Compromise-sets up two houses of Congress (senate & house of representatives)  There were women who were pushing for the inclusion of women’s rights o They fail but not because they didn’t try but because no one had any concepts of women’s rights o Abigail Adams-most famous and well known (John Adam’s wife)  The U.S. is now focused on nationalism, creating an unified country than individual rights o Becoming more conservative and less liberal o Creating and keeping establish power and creating a federal gov that holds power over the states  Thomas Jefferson demands the Bill of Rights in the Constitution to protect individual rights  The Constitution is going to be ratified and includes the Bill of Rights o This transform a lot of power to the federal gov. and away from the states st  1788 the U.S forms its 1 congress  Also creates the 1 executive branch under the gov. o They put so much power into the executive branch that the articles of confederation never had on purpose o Under the executive branch the president under the executive branch is going to be in charge of the department of war o The executive branch is also I charge of foreign affairs and treasury o The executive branch also creates a position for the attorney general o The executive branch is also in charge of the postal service o The executive branch has the right of the authority over the department  1789 congress pass the Judiciary Act of 1789 (most important) o Sets up the Supreme Court o Also sets up the court system o Also says from here on out no matter what the issue is if there is a contest between what state court thinks and what the Supreme Courts thinks, the Supreme Court wins  Land mark decision Chism vs Georgia that set up the system so that citizens of one state had beef with citizens in another state then the Supreme Court is willing to solve it st  George Washington appoints his 1 cabinet o 1 secretary of war was Henry Knox st o 1 secretary of state is Thomas Jefferson o 1 secretary of treasury is Alexander Hamilton  George Washington appoints these men on purpose because they disagree on everything (Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton) and to have a balance o Thomas Jefferson is a plantation owner o Thomas Jefferson that if the world is a good place therefore you don’t have to force people to do things. You don’t need gov. to force you to do anything o Thomas Jefferson’s view of government it should be small and limited because people don’t need to be told or force what to do o Also believes in a humane world that operates just by a small government  Alexander Hamilton (federalist)- he was very childish and grew up in the west indies o He starts working on the docs from one of the trading shipping companies and proves to be good at numbers o Fights his way to be an accountant in this company and every opportunity Hamilton tries to take everyone else tries to stop and block him because of his social stigma o Finally leaves the West Indies and comes to the U.S. o Believes in self-sufficient farmers o In charge of putting of recommendations to G. Washington as how to grow congress o Believes that debt is positive and is the thing that will move us ahead, thinks debt is good (debt is a good way to tie into the system) o Wants the federal gov. to pay off the debt of the states o Wrote about his views on credit & debt in The Report on Public Credit (1790)  Want to set up ways for rich people to benefit from the gov.  The Report on Manufacture- says if the U.S. is going to be real country that is going to compete with other countries (Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium) then we must industrialize  Recommends we recruit immigrants than jobs, that manufactures keeps wages low o Congress rejects this plan and Hamilton comes with another plan to form a national bank (Bank of the U.S.)-be able to take out loans and loan money  The National bank remains constitutional o Believes in taxes  Whisky Rebellion
