The stability of an acid depends on two factors i.e .

(1)Presence of electronegative elements

(2)Number of electron withdrawing substituents present in a molecule i.e. greater the number of substituents present in a molecule stronger will be the acid.

(2)Position of the electron withdrawing substituents i.e if a substituent placed closed to the functional group, then that molecule will be a stronger acid.
