Wifi literally everywhere on campus. You'll have to spend lots of time looking for parking and you'll have to be a member of Greek life if you want to meet new people. public transportation is easily accessible and easy to use. there is even a free shuttle that goes around campus and surrounding areas. also really close to downtown Salt Lake City, which is really nice. I am so glad i chose to attend the U. art program is full of great professors. ...Continue reading

This is a great school! If you are an out of state individual, be advised. You will be going to school with a lot of married people, and a lot of locals. Not too many attendees have lived anywhere but Utah. That stated, the psychology department is amazing! You will get a fantastic education. ...Continue reading

bleh. This school is wayy to big for the teachers to even pay attention to you! yes it has a great medical program but honestly what are the odds of getting as a sophmore. I suggest take 2 years off then come back. Deff recomend another school more settle and less crowded. I had to go out of my way to engage people in conversation and make friends. However, people were receptive after I took the first step. I was severely disappointed in the PHIL Dept. on the whole and do not recommend it. Career placement assistance was also a joke. ...Continue reading

The biggest draw back here is the fairly limited social opportunities. The food court at the Union closes at 4 pm. So if you are someone who wants to stay on campus and study, this is bad news for you. Also, the Library is not open 24 hours on weekdays. University of Utah campus is large and beautiful but is often empty. No social life on campus. ...Continue reading

The University of Utah is a great place to study regardless of your major. Counseling experiences have either been the best or pure horror stories. Didn't find out about a lot of opportunities until too late. ...Continue reading

If you like the outdoors, the U is the place for U. Mountains and skiing everywhere. A beautiful campus with so many opportunities! I would definitely recommend coming here if you love the outdoors-- the campus is only 30 or so minutes away from the canyons which hold the best ski resorts as well as hiking/biking trails. And don't miss out on the athletic events-- always a blast. ...Continue reading

Best school in state. Registration is fairly easy. My only suggestion is towards administration and on-campus jobs. On campus jobs are hard to get, and administration has a hard time listening to students suggestions. Otherwise, I've had a great experience. Also this university has good some sports teams to watch. The only bad things is the parking but what college or university has good parking. ...Continue reading

Worst internet of anywhere I've ever been. If you use a wheel chair you're screwed, because its so hilly and there are no accommodations. It's dangerous for bike riders because paths abruptly end in stairs. Public transportation either takes you to the beginning of campus or the end, with no stops in the middle. ...Continue reading

If you like the outdoors, you'll have a great time otherwise, you'll probably be bored. Plaza fest is nice you get to see lots of clubs and if you go to all the job fairs/club fairs you can get a lot of cool stuff for free. It's an okay school but I can't help but feel there's always a dark cloud overhanging. ...Continue reading

Look somewhere else for a CS degree. As for the actual University being a problem, well, let's just say that if you need to get something done, you need to be firm and demand help. I had a charge that needed to be removed. They said they'd take care of it, but in the end, I was the one who got it done and removed. ...Continue reading

It's a commuter school and can get rather hard to find ways to socialize. Aside from that there are a lot of great professors, the classes do teach valuable concepts, and the degrees hold their value (from personal research). The engineering program has been great so far (I am a CS major). Can't beat that to relax when you are stressed. A couple of minutes from downtown, and I personally enjoy it a lot. I find myself smiling when I see the beauty around me! ...Continue reading

On campus Wifi is extremely limiting, it's an accurate statement to say that it's good enough to make the music on your iPhone not work. Outstanding academics, breathtaking campus, prestigious athletics and overall just amazing. Never thought I would love college this much. The professors (for the most part) are great instructors. The campus is clean and located right in the foothills of the Wasatch mountains. Utah women are some of the most beautiful that you will find and there is actually a great night life here, you just need to know where to find it. ...Continue reading

The campus is awesome, most buildings are new, some are even in construction so you can tell that the school is always expanding and renovating. I love it here. You are just a few miles away from a hike up in the mountains and also just a few miles away from downtown salt lake. Even if you don't want to go a few miles away there is so much to do here and the professors have been very good as well. ...Continue reading

The U is the campus I needed for undergrad. This university has such great professors that are really nice and helpful and so is the staff her. Also the campus is really cool looking. This becoming a great place to great my Bachelors and Masters degree as a Special Education Teacher. All I have left is the school rocks. Distinguished in medicine, engineering, performing arts, business you name it. The vast majority of professors WANT to be here, and they want you to succeed. The outdoors are literally in our back yard, just waiting for you at any given moment during the year. Personally, I LOVE it here! ...Continue reading

I was really excited to get accepted into this school. The reputation is so-so depending on field. Professor quality varies. The food is generally not very good, but there are a few good food trucks and cafes. Internet is very hit-or-miss. Common areas are nice in general to socialise. The view is awesome.
